Piotr Dembiński becomes partner at Icon Strategies

Former Head of PR in Europe, Africa, and South America for the automotive company Nexteer Automotive (a former division of Delphi/General Motors), has joined Icon Strategies. As a partner, he will co-manage the agency.

The new partner at Icon Strategies will be responsible, together with Michał Sobiło, the founder of the company, for providing strategic consultancy to the agency’s clients. He will also oversee the development of the agency’s portfolio, particularly in the automotive sector, and support the team in corporate PR, Public Affairs, and internal communications activities.

 

“Piotr is a tremendous addition to the agency’s team both at the managerial and specialist levels. His extensive experience on both the agency side and in-house in a large, international corporation and multicultural environment perfectly aligns with our current needs and plans. Piotr has over 15 years of experience in public relations. He has gained this experience working with both Polish and international corporations in industries such as automotive, IT, energy, real estate, heavy industry, and finance. The projects he has been involved in have been awarded Golden Clips by the Polish Association of Public Relations Firms three times.

 

From 2014 to 2021, Piotr Dembiński coordinated PR activities for the Europe, Africa, and South America regions at Nexteer Automotive (formerly a division of Delphi, and earlier General Motors).

 

He has also led numerous Public Affairs activities (including as a member of the Governmental Affairs group at CLEPA – the largest organisation supporting automotive suppliers, operating at the European Commission in Brussels, and as a member of the audit committee of the Polish Automotive Industry Association and the Programme Council of the Silesia Automotive & Advanced Manufacturing cluster).

 

He began his career in the industry at Imago PR agency, where he worked from 2007 to 2014.

 

Piotr Dembiński has lectured on communication at the WSB Academy, the University of Economics in Katowice, and the University of Silesia.

 

He holds degrees in Public Relations from the University of Economics in Katowice and in Philosophy from the University of Wrocław, as well as numerous courses, including The Pacific Institute’s leadership academy.
