Open School

Open School is a franchised network of language schools throughout Poland. Open School offers language courses for individual students, as well as courses for corporate clients, through its business training arm, Open Business Academy, and translation section, Open Translations. Open School Online  is the online section of Open School, which offers live language classes.

Communication strategy

Open School offers language courses to individual students from 3 years old upwards, and to companies. Open School’s b2b services deliver language courses and translation.

The other focus of Open School is on individuals interested in setting up an Open School outlet as franchisees. The sheer diversity of this group is a challenge for planning and managing the network’s communications.

In developing Open School’s communication strategy, we took into account the specifics of each group (both individuals and businesses), as well as their locations (small and medium-sized towns, as well as the largest conurbations).

The communication strategy included the following segments: corporate communication, aimed at effectively communicating with prospective franchisees; product and service communication rules, globally and locally; the local communication rules of the Open School franchisees, including the outlet’s launch onto the market; and regular communication, as well as online communication principles. All of these were for both the franchisor and the franchisees.

The brand's launch onto the market

We’ve been working with Open School right from the beginning. We were responsible for Open School’s launch onto the market. Many prospective students and franchisees heard about the brand for the first time while observing a successful challenge in the form of the longest lesson given worldwide, conducted by a group of selected volunteers led by an experienced English teacher. This initiative was commented on nationwide and became one of the cornerstones of Open School’s communication activities.
